market time

We were happy to be back at the Abbotsford Farm and Country Market this past Saturday. We are planning on being there evey week now but not on August 14.

The white onions pictured – Ailsa Craig – are mild and sweet. We’ve been enjoying them sliced thin on sandwichs. The summer squash are terrific grilled.

I couldn’t help but think this when people purchased the onions and garlic togheter, “Looks like the start of a great meal.” Many of our meals start with those two ingredients.

We are steadily taking names off of our waiting list as more crops are ready so don’t hesitate to call or email us to be placed on our shrinking waiting list.

Thanks to my sister Aimee for the new sign for our booth!

Hey Cara and Andy! Funny that I ran into you last week at HOJ and now came to a link to your blog! How cool – this is quite something!
I found your site from a link off of Holly’s blog: “Eating on Purpose”.
    Way to go guys!
